Can I get my Sanuks wet?
Water-friendly, but not water-proof – while you can get them wet and even wear them in the water, since the yoga mat footbed doesn’t have sealed edges, these flip flops tend to hold onto water (like a sponge). They also take a long time to thoroughly dry out.
How do you get the smell out of Sanuks?
Wash them in warm or cold water. You can add a load of Rockin’ Green Detergent to kill bacteria and get rid of any germs and odors. Never dry them in the dryer: Putting your Sanuks in the dryer will ruin them. Let them air dry to prevent damage.
Are Sanuk Yoga slings comfortable?
Even the straps are comfortable! I hated them because they never seemed to have enough cushioning and the cute straps usually resulted in not-so-cute blisters. That toxic relationship recently ended when I slipped my feet into a pair of Sanuk Yoga Sling sandals.
Can you shrink Sanuks?
How do I shrink my Sanuks? Wash your Sanuks in a washing machine. Make sure you ‘re using the cold water setting. Hot water can cause serious damage to Sanuks, causing them to shrink or lose their shape.

Sanuks have their own style – they look like shoes, but wear like sandals. While these are sandals, and the footbed has an antimicrobial additive, I highly recommend wearing socks with them.
Can I wear leather sandals in water?
Anyone shopping for a water sandal for water sports activities should avoid anything made from leather. The reason is because, over time, leather will break down when continuously submerged in water.
Why do flip flops stink?
Despite good hygiene and clean feet, rubber sandals tend to smell after several wearings. The cause is not necessarily sweat, as you might think, but a collection of bacteria on the sandal itself. Many products kill bacteria, and because rubber is washable, the problem of stinky sandals is easily fixed.
Why do my Chacos stink?
Over the course of wear, grit and sand can get in the channels where the straps enter and exit the midsole, which can create excess odor and cause your straps to stick. To clear these channels we recommend “flossing” your straps with these steps.

Do Sanuk Yoga slings stretch out?
They make a bunch of noise the more you wear them too because, of course, they are stretching, so they “clap” around more.
Do Sanuk Yoga slings run small?
I either get them too small or too big, the sizing is almost never accurate. I typically wear 7.5 and decided to size up as I usually do when shopping online, but I didn’t need to with these. They fit me about half a size too big so I kind of flop around with them.
